Gui Shu the Tree Ghost is a creature I couldn't find much about and only two other artist renditions seemed to be on the internet which makes me believe that this ghost has another name. What I did learn is that this is an angered spirit that can make a tree look ominous and even move a little. What the spirit does is frighten passers by forcing them off their path into the woods. It then moves to another tree causing the travelers to become further away from the path becoming disoriented and eventually lost in the woods.
This was drawn in an 5.5" x 8.5" Strathmore (400 Series) 60 lb. paper in a sketchbook with Sharpie Marker and Staedtler Pigment Liner pens.
